EVERY WINE HAS A STORY TO TELL
—
Through each vintage, we tell the tale of the land,
the elements and the Izzo family.
From a long line of winemakers, vintner Michael Izzo grew up with wine in his blood. Thanks to his father and grandfather, homemade wine was a fixture at the Izzo family dinner table. Although winemaking initially started as a hobby for Michael, it quickly grew into a full-blown obsession. He became fascinated with all aspects of the process, from sourcing and fermenting to aging and finishing.
Hence, Vinizzo. In 2013, Michael and his wife, Kristie Loscalzo, founded the winery and tasting room in their beloved town of Sea Cliff, New York. Since opening its doors, Vinizzo has been known for its warm-hearted approach, commitment to community and great-tasting wines.
Take a sip, and come share the story with us. Salute!
This bright, acidic, fruit-forward and aromatic wine is the antithesis of a California chardonnay. Fermented at low temperatures, it retains fruity aromas of pear and apple, flavors common to this varietal. Once fermented, our unoaked chardonnay is aged for 9 months on yeast lees to round out its flavors as well as provide added complexity.
This well-balanced, fruit driven red was 100% naturally fermented to encourage indigenous yeast providing maximum complexity. Aged in 100% tight grain medium toast French oak barrels, this wine displays flavors of cherries and raspberries with slight hints of caramel and dark chocolate.
All hail the King of Long Island’s varietals. Ours is medium bodied with hints of earthy minerality, spice and rich blackberries. Perfect for your next family dinner--if the bottle makes it to the table.
