We are an artisanal Carolina urban winery. We source the highest quality grapes from our California vineyards. Our wines are made at our winery and production facility near downtown Greenville, South Carolina. We are open for private tastings by appointment only. 

The only way to purchase our wines is to become a wine club member. 

The Winemakers

We are Jon-Michial and Catherine Carter. We take great pride in producing beautiful, expressive wines from our own hands. Our labor is one of deep love for the wines we make and the artisanal approach to our style of winemaking.

The grapes

We care deeply about where our grapes come from and how they are farmed. We source our grapes from small, family run vineyards in Paso Robles, California. Our grapes are always hand-picked and nurtured with remarkable care.

The winery

Our winery is located in the place we proudly call home, Greenville, South Carolina. Every bottle of wine we produce represents the Southern culture we cherish.

This is not a typical wine tasting experience. Enjoy a private wine tasting with our winemaker as we pour our latest vintage wines. You’ll see how Carter Family Wines are made, tour our small winery, and learn about winemaking techniques.
