Hueftle Farms Vineyard
is family owned & operated on a hillside vineyard (Camp Rue) off of Valle del Sol in Bonsall. The vineyard was planted in 2015 and was previously farmed for over 80 years with citrus, avocados & flowers. The soil is made up of decomposed granite - perfect for the vineyard. Our climate of warm to hot sunny days combined with the coolness from the steady ocean breeze aids our vineyard to produce healthy & ripe grapes.
Our wine making philosphy is pretty simple. We are farmers from Nebraska, we know that good wine can only come from a vibrant & healthy vineyard. We farm using regenerative and organic practices. The vineyard is hand harvested, grapes are hand sorted and gently pressed. During the winemaking process we have as little outside interference as possible. Our wine is always unfined-unfiltered which we know creates a more natural and alive tasting wine.

Camp Rue
We are often asked who is, what is or why is our Vineyard named Camp Rue. Rue is a rescue dog that came to us via Helen Woodward. She is an 8 year old Australian Cattle German Shepard mix and is the master protector of Hueftle Farms Vineyard. Her favorite activities are hunting ground squirrels, keeping the coyotes moving along, chasing birds out of the vineyard and protecting Monte & Marcia from basically anyone or thing that comes around. She is smart, she is kind, she is important and she will greet you on your visits to her vineyard!
2020 BONSALL RED
A unique red blend of 50% Sangiovese, 40% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot
This "Super Tuscan" is modeled after the great Sangiovese/Bordeaux Blends. Notes of dark red cherry & raspberry, crushed pepper with light, lean acids. This wine has a balance of red fruits & earth that we love.
Unfined~Unfiltered Bonsall Grown Goodness, 13.5% Alc
Expect a small amount of sediment at the bottom of the bottle.
2020 Cabernet Franc
100% Estate Grown - Camp Rue Vineyard
This single clone of 332 Cabernet Franc is as complex as it is smooth. Notes of crushed pepper and dry earth are present with rich bold flavors of dark cherry & raspberries. Brigh, lean acids accompanied by soft tannins with an exceptional smooth finish.
Unfined~Unfiltered Bonsall Grown Goodness, 13.9% Alc.
Expect a small amount of sediment at the bottom of the bottle.
We are an estate grown vineyard & winery. We have a wholesale license, there is no on-site tasting.
