Hey there,

We've got an update to share—a continuation of the journey we started when we bid farewell to Texas. 

From Long Island to Texas, we've poured our hearts into crafting wines that tell a story of passion and dedication. But now, it's time for the next chapter. We've officially found ourselves in the picturesque village of Francs, nestled in the vine-covered hills of Bordeaux, France, northeast of Saint Emilion.

Our new home is a 7-hectare property, with a humble stone garage serving as our winemaking sanctuary. It's a blank canvas, waiting for us to breathe new life into it—a challenge we're eager to embrace.

In Francs, we find ourselves surrounded by neighbors whose work we've long admired—a community of vigneron whose dedication to their craft inspires us daily. It's an honor to join their ranks, and we're eager to learn from their expertise as we set out to make our mark in this historic region.

And finally, in a surprise twist, one thing that will not change is our commitment to the name Southold. Despite our previous plans to part ways with it, we've decided to carry it forward with us into this new chapter. It's a name that's become synonymous with quality, passion, and a whole lot of heart and, in the end, we couldn't imagine starting fresh without it. So now you can (finally) officially just call us Southold—no more Farm + Cellar, even though that’s what we are and will remain.

Transitioning to Bordeaux has been an absolute dream for us. Working with the varieties we love in a climate that feels like home (albeit a bit rainier than we're used to) has been an opportunity we're incredibly grateful for. Already, we've begun converting the vineyards to biodynamics, embracing practices that align with our values. As we immerse ourselves further in Bordeaux's rich winemaking tradition, we're eager to make our mark alongside our esteemed neighbors and contribute to the vibrant tapestry of this historic region.

To all of you who've supported us along the way, from our early days in Long Island to our adventures in Texas and now to Francs—thank you. Your encouragement, your feedback, your love—it's what keeps us going, fueling our passion for what we do.

So, here's to new beginnings, to chasing dreams, and to the incredible journey that lies ahead, damn the torpedoes.
