Description:
Plagido Tomasello arrived in the United States from a small town in Messina Sicily called Gesso, in the late 1800’s. He settled in Hammonton, NJ, a town in the Outer Coastal Plains of Southern New Jersey. Plagido was one of Hammonton’s pioneer farmers growing peaches, blackberries and grapes. From these fruits he made wine.
