Manzanita Creek founders, Jack and William Salerno, throw caution to the wind and create their own style. Their wines are full-throttle, in-your-face fruit forward-complex wines that uphold a reputation for never being boring. Densely colored with brooding fruit, the wines are usually 100 percent Zinfandel. Despite the current trend toward bone-dry wines, Jack and William make sure to leave a touch (.05%) of residual sugar in their Zinfandels, much like the early European immigrants.
